If you’ve been playing along at home, you know that we’ve been focusing on FanDuel. Because of some changes, we’ll be moving our focus to DraftStreet for our daily fantasy basketball needs and their setup is a little different.

In DraftStreet, you get $100,000 to make a team of eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. The goal is to get around 300 fantasy points which means we’re looking to get about 3X value on a player. In other words, if a player costs $15,000, we’d like to get at least 45 FPS out of them. If we’re going to be able to spend let’s say $24,000 on Kevin Durant for some sure points, however, we’d have to find a lot of good value plays, easier said than done.

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt

Value Plays:

Guard:

Greivis Vasquez vs PHI ($10,553): We’re aiming for around 31 FPS out of Vasquez today, against a terrible Philly defense. He’s played more and more minutes with Kyle Lowry struggling, including 34 minutes on Wednesday against Dallas. He’s averaging 30.3 FPS over his last three games so we don’t need him to do anything special, just keep rolling.

Kyle Korver vs SA ($11,387): If we remove the dud he put up against the surging Nets last week, Korver is averaging 28.25 FPS over his last four games. We’d need him to come close to 34 today and with Kawhi Leonard out, the Spurs defense isn’t as intimidating in DFS for a few weeks.

Forward:

Tristan Thompson vs MIL ($11,351): The last time Thompson faced Milwaukee he put up 10 points and 15 rebounds. The Bucks defense has only gotten worse since, giving up the second-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards over the last two weeks.

Ryan Kelly vs ORL ($8,213): Kelly is really cheap after putting up a weak effort against the Heat but he had averaged 22.8 FPS over his previous four games and there’s no reason to get down on him after just one game against a tough team. He’d need about 25 FPS to make value today which shouldn’t be too hard against a Magic team giving up the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards over the last two weeks.

Center:

Tyson Chandler vs CHA ($12,948): There aren’t many decent center plays that don’t cost a ton but Chandler has a good chance to make good on his value. He’s posted at least 28.5 FPS in two of his last three games and has a good chance to post 30+ against a Charlotte team giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing centers over the last two weeks.

Optimized Lineup:

G: DeMar DeRozan vs PHI ($15,617)

G: Greivis Vasquez vs PHI ($10,553)

G: Joe Johnson vs DAL ($13,911)

F: Tristan Thompson vs MIL ($11,351)

F: Ryan Kelly vs ORL ($8,213)

F: Zach Randolph vs HOU ($14,728)

C: Tyson Chandler vs CHA ($12,948)

U: Kyle Korver vs SA ($11,387)
