On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

Tonight in the NBA, there is a seven-game slate. Get your lineups in as soon as possible. The Sixers and Lakers do not play, unfortunately for us, so finding others will be no small task.

Value Plays

Guard

Nick Calathes, MEM ($8,672)

Calathes has taken over as the starter in Memphis, due to the injury to Mike Conley. Since that day the former Florida Gator has just under 80 fantasy points in three games. That is an average of just under 27 fantasy points per game. At just $8.6K, Calathes needs 20 fantasy points for good value. The chances of him reaching 20 fantasy points is high, should he play starter minutes. Given the fact that he has played 40 minutes twice in these three games shows that he is a viable option tonight against the Atlanta Hawks.

Forward

Wilson Chandler, DEN ($9,584)

In Chandler’s last seven games, he is averaging 22 fantasy points per. At $9.5K, 22 fantasy points is a good value. But, since the Nuggets face off against the Pistons tonight, the opportunity for Chandler to exceed good value is high. The Pistons are 23rd in the NBA in defense, giving up just under 103 points per game, and the Nuggets play at a fast pace, taking over 86 shots per game. This matchup is a perfect storm for Chandler, and he should exceed value tonight.

Center

Dwight Howard, HOU ($17,899)

It it not customary to have a player with this high of a price in a “value” section. But with Dwight Howard’s matchup tonight, he is worth the price. At just under $18K, Howard will need 40 points to reach great value, but since the Rockets face off against Milwaukee tonight, it may happen. The Bucks are 29th in the NBA in rebound percentage and with Dwight Howard matching up against Larry Sanders, he could have a monster night like his last showdown with the Bucks where he amassed 20 points and 14 rebounds.
