Daily Fantasy Basketball: DFS Value Plays and Lineup – February 12

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

Value Plays

Guard

Trey Burke, UTAH ($7,793)

This the second night in a row that Trey Burke is listed as the value guard. Last night he only shot 3/11 from the field, but still ended up with 22 fantasy points. That 22 fantasy points is great value, and he should top that number tonight against the porous defense of the Philadelphia 76ers. Burke will be in my lineup tonight, get him into yours.

Guard

Nick Calathes, MEM ($9,071)

Rather than try to find a good value at forward, Calathes is still one of the best values on DraftStreet at guard. At just over $9K and starting at point guard, there is almost no better choice at guard right now. Calathes has been starting at the point for six games, and in these games he is averaging just under five rebounds, just under five assists, and over 15 points per game. A nightly line of 15/5/5 is a great night of production, and at $9K, that is elite value. Get him in your lineup tonight against the Magic, who shouldn’t be able to stop the former Gator.

Center

Ronny Turiaf, MIN ($9,006)

With Pekovic out, Turiaf has been the man at center for the Wolves. In his last four games, he has reached double his value at least, which is a great floor for such a cheap player. Turiaf and the Wolves take on the Denver Nuggets tonight, who have struggled of late against opposing centers. Expect Turiaf to get at least ten rebounds, and if he can add ten points to that, he is already at great value.

Optimized Lineup
