Good morning to most people reading this, good afternoon to some of you!

This is the live blog for the men’s round robin Olympic hockey game between the United States and Slovakia.

Myself and colleague Chris Blanchard will be here for the this matchup between Group A participants. It’s the first game for either country at the tournament.

There are lots of interesting story lines to follow at this game like: Strength of USA’s wingers; goaltender Jonathan Quick‘s play, as he has the start of Ryan Miller; the potency of the Slovakian offense without Marian Gaborik; the utility of Slovak youngsters Tomas Jurco and Tomas Tatar.

So join myself and Chris as we live-blog this game, banter about what we see, and keep you informed with the latest happenings of the game.
