Good morning wherever you are around the world and welcome to the live blog for the quarter final men’s Olympic hockey game between Finland and Russia.

Finland managed to grab the wild card seed (fourth overall) after the round robin, avoiding the qualification round.

Russia played their way into the quarters with a qualification win over Norway yesterday.

These should be a good game in a stark contrast of styles, the Finns with tight checking, smart hockey and great goaltending while the home Russian side boasts some of the best hockey players in the world all on their top two lines.

Game time is at 7:30 AM Eastern.
