Value Plays
Guard
Derek Fisher, OKC ($7,225)
Since there are only three games tonight, it is tougher to find value at each position. But Derek Fisher still has a great chance to meet great value, despite his price being elevated. At just over $7K, anything over 18 fantasy points is a great day for Fisher. In his last game against the Heat (who he faces tonight), Fisher had 21.25 fantasy points. In his last game, Fisher was able to contribute 23.5 fantasy points as well. Expect him to play a big role tonight for the Thunder, and that could mean good value in terms of fantasy points.
Forward
Kenneth Faried, DEN ($11,621)
Faried has been reeling as of late, until his last game. Faried was held to less than 10 rebounds and 13 points in five straight games. But, in his last game, he was able to break out of his “slump” with a 21 point and 10 rebound performance for 35.5 fantasy points. Faried will look to continue that play, and tonight is a great matchup to do so. The Milwaukee Bucks are among the league’s worst in rebounding, and that is just Faried’s specialty. Expect a double-double tonight, and an opportunity for great value.
Center
Jermaine O’Neal, GSW ($6,415)
As a normal small slate would predict, the center position is extremely thin. Luckily O’Neal is a cheap starting center, which is hard to come by on a short slate. With the Warriors taking on the Rockets, a huge game shouldn’t be expected from O’Neal, but a serviceable value is not out of reach. At just $6.4K, if O’Neal can get 15 fantasy points, that is a huge boost. I would not recommend going cheap at center tonight, but if so take O’Neal.
