Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Values and Lineup – February 21

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is a 10-game slate tonight in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible. The Sixers play tonight, and could give up over 110 points per game for the rest of the season. Keep that in mind.

Value Plays

Guard

Louis Williams, ATL ($7,495)

Williams is still too cheap across the industry for one reason. He has played 30 minutes or more in his last four games. There is not another guard that will play 30 minutes at a low price of $7.5K. Great value for Williams would be around 20 points, which is well within reach tonight against the Pistons. The knock on Williams during his career is either boom or bust but, since he is playing 30 minutes, he is a safe play with high upside. Get him into your lineups.

Forward

Jae Crowder, DAL ($4,364)

This is a risk/reward pick, but at $4.3K, all Crowder needs for good value is 10 fantasy points or more. Against the Sixers that is an easy risk to take. Expect Dallas to blow the Sixers out, and Crowder will get more minutes than normal, meaning the daily fantasy community will experience one of its favorite terms, “garbage time”. Even in risk, Crowder has still has a floor of about 8 fantasy points, which is still decent value at $4.3K.

Center

Kelly Olynyk, BOS ($9,283)

A very successful daily fantasy player once said, “If you cannot get a double-double against the Lakers, you are not a very good big man”. This advice applies directly to this selection. The Lakers are among the worst in the NBA in rebounding percentage, and if you have seen this column before, you know big men against the Lakers are successful. Olynyk just needs around 25 fantasy points for excellent value tonight, and a double-double should bring that result. He has 26.75 fantasy points or more in three of his last five, and that could be four of six after tonight against a porous Sixers team.
