Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – February 24

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is a five-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

O.J. Mayo, MIL ($5,955)

This is a pure risk-reward selection, but could pay huge dividends. Mayo is one of the cheaper guards on DraftStreet tonight, and since coming back from injury, he has played 23 and 17 minutes. Tonight the Bucks face the Sixers in what seems like a perfect opportunity to get Mayo back into game shape. With the Sixers being the worst defensive team in the NBA, Mayo could feast on his way back to being a good player in the Association. At just under $6K, good value would be 15 fantasy points, but the potential is there for him to exceed that.

Forward

Matt Barnes, LAC ($7,369)

Barnes has been inconsistent this season, so buyer beware. But, he has been hot of late, and at $7.3K, he has every opportunity to exceed value tonight. The Clippers take on the New Orleans Pelicans who are giving up just under 101 points per game. Expect the Clippers to score way more than that, and Barnes could be the beneficiary. In his last two games, he has averaged 34 minutes and 28 fantasy points per game. Should he reach that, it would be tremendous value at four times his salary. Dampen the expectations, but Barnes could easily reach 20 fantasy points, which would still be very good value.

Center

Zaza Pachulia, MIL ($7,046)

With not many values in a five game slate, Pachulia has the best chance to exceed value at the center position. The Bucks will take on the Sixers tonight is what could be one of the ugliest games of the season. But, even bad teams have players with fantasy value, and Zaza is that player tonight at just over $7K.
