On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is an eight-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

Kirk Hinrich CHI ($8,173)

With Hinrich just over $8K, good value would be anything more than 18 fantasy points. Hinrich has reached that plateau in three of his last four, and is averaging over 19 fantasy points per game in his last seven. Tonight the Bulls take on the Brooklyn Nets, whom they beat by 16 points in their last meeting. Although this game is not likely to be one of the higher scoring affairs of the night, Hinrich should still see some offensive value.

Forward

Derrick Favors UTAH ($13,292)

Not often will you see a player at Favors’ price be listed as a value, but tonight he is. The Jazz take on the Milwaukee Bucks, who are dreadful against big men and even worse in terms of rebounding. The Bucks have a -199 rebound differential this season, among the NBA’s worst. Expect Favors to feast on the boards tonight and accumulate at least a double-double.

Center

Al Jefferson CHA ($16,583)

Cheap centers usually do not reach value, and finding a cheap one that will get “your money’s worth” is one of the riskiest things to do in daily fantasy basketball. But tonight Al Jefferson should be the top center on DraftStreet. The Bobcats take on the Heat tonight which could scare some players away, hence why Jefferson is “only” priced at $16.5K. Should he amount to 37 fantasy points it will be great value. The Heat are not among the NBA’s best in terms of defending big men, and Jefferson is one of the best scoring centers in the NBA. Oddly enough, this is a perfect matchup for Jefferson. Expect at least 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Optimized Lineup

G – Kirk Hinrich CHI ($8,173)

G – Wesley Matthews POR ($9,254)

G – Tim Hardaway Jr. NYK ($7,688)

F – Derrick Favors UTAH ($13,292)

F – Nicholas Batum POR ($13,936)

F – LaMarcus Aldridge POR ($17,660)

C – Al Jefferson CHA ($16,583)

U – Ricky Rubio MIN ($13,389)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
