Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – March 4
On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.
If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!
DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.
There is a six-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible. The Lakers and Sixers play tonight. Enjoy.
Jeremy Lamb OKC ($6,657)
As you will see with the Thunder later in this column, tonight is a dream matchup for daily fantasy players. The Thunder are set to blow out the 76ers, and Lamb could be one beneficiary from the final score. Lamb has struggled as of late, having not met value since the All-Star break began, but tonight’s matchup is a dream for someone trying to break out of a slump. Expect Lamb to get over 20 minutes and, against the Sixers, that can amount to a lot of fantasy points. At just $6.6K, 15 fantasy points would be a good contribution from the former UConn star.
Kawhi Leonard SA ($12,510)
Leonard has been the Spurs’ best player in the three games since his return from injury, and the team is 3-0 in those three. In these games, Leonard has averaged around 29 fantasy points, which is good value at $12.5K. Tonight, the Spurs take on the Cleveland Cavaliers who cannot stop anyone, let alone the Spurs. Expect Leonard to have a floor of 20 fantasy points tonight, which is among the safest bets at $12.5K at the forward position.
Hasheem Thabeet OKC ($5,945)
If there is any day that Thabeet has value in fantasy, it is today. The Thunder will surely empty their bench tonight against the lowly 76ers, and Thabeet could see a career high in production. The Sixers are terrible in every aspect of the defensive game, and if Thabeet gets enough minutes, we could see 20 fantasy points. He is a risk, but at under $6K, he could be a huge value tonight.
