On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is just a 10-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

Marco Belinelli SA ($6,585)

There is a recurring theme in today’s column, and you will find out soon enough. Marco Belinelli is priced at just $6.6K, which would mean he needs around 15 fantasy points for good value. The San Antonio Spurs take on the Los Angeles Lakers tonight, who are allowing well over 100 points per game of late, and haven’t been able to stop anybody. Not to mention the Lakers are coming off a 29-point drubbing last night. Belinelli should easily attain 15 fantasy points against one of the worst defenses in the NBA.

Forward

Tim Duncan SA ($14,762)

Have you figured out today’s theme yet? The Lakers have given up less than 100 points just once in their last 13 games, and have allowed over 110 points in 10 of those 13. Tim Duncan has not been a fantasy superstar in recent games, but tonight is an ideal time to break out of a “fantasy slump” if you will. At under $15K, 35 or more fantasy points would be great value for Duncan, and a double-double can be expected at minimum. Add an extra three baskets and three rebounds and he could be at great value in a heartbeat. A blowout is a legitimate worry, but Duncan should be able to get his production in before it gets out of hand.

Center

C – Tiago Splitter SA ($8,275)

The theme is obvious now, stack the San Antonio Spurs. As noted above, the Lakers are the worst defensive team in the western conference. The Spurs should benefit from this tonight, and Tiago Splitter is no exception. At just over $8K, 20 fantasy points would be great value for the 29-year-old. Expect him to reach this as he is one of the only Spurs big men to play over 20 minutes regardless of the score. A double-double seems like a given, and that would bring Splitter to great value. He is averaging 14 fantasy points in his last seven games, expect that number to rise after tonight’s matchup with the Lakers.

Optimized Lineup

G – Marco Belinelli SA ($6,585)

G – DeMar DeRozan TOR ($14,090)

G – Goran Dragic PHO ($15,059)

F – Kenneth Faried DEN ($13,581)

F – Kawhi Leonard SA ($13,525)

F – Tim Duncan SA ($14,762)

C – Tiago Splitter SA ($8,275)

U – Kemba Walker CHA ($14,094)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
