Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – March 16

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is a nine-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible due to the early games.

Value Plays

Guard

Derek Fisher OKC ($5,286)

Fisher averages around 20 minutes per game, and has produced at a very consistent 12 fantasy points per game in his last six games. Fisher will never score 35 or 40 fantasy points in a game but, at just under $5.3K, he offers one of the better values each night. The Thunder take on the Dallas Mavericks tonight, and both teams should score over 100. Fisher could be one beneficiary of a high-scoring game. Expect 12-15 fantasy points, which is great value for such a cheap player.

Forward

Cody Zeller CHA ($7,673)

Zeller will not find himself on many “value” posts on the internet, but tonight is certainly one of those nights where the former Indiana Hoosier will find himself in a lot of daily lineups. The Bobcats take on the Milwaukee Bucks, who still remain in the cellar in terms of rebounding. Zeller has been on a relative hot streak of late, contributing just under 17 fantasy point per game in his last eight. Should he reach that average tonight, it will be good value. But the matchup indicates he could outperform that, and be one of the better values on DraftStreet. The last time Zeller produced a “poor” value was February 18th.

Center

Al Jefferson CHA ($18,881)

As mentioned above, the Bobcats take on the Milwaukee Bucks tonight, who as we all know are among the NBA’s worst teams. The Bucks have been bad, but what is so enticing is that they are one of the worst rebounding teams we have seen in a long time. Al Jefferson is a double-double machine and one of the better rebounders in the NBA averaging just under 10.5 rebounds per game. Jefferson should see at least 20 points and 10 rebounds tonight, but with the matchup against Milwaukee, he could be the top fantasy player of the night. Get him into your lineups at just under $18.9K.

Optimized Lineup

G – Derek Fisher OKC ($5,286)

G – DeMar DeRozan TOR ($12,718)

G – Ramon Sessions MIL ($8,920)

F – Serge Ibaka OKC ($16,639)

F – Cody Zeller CHA ($7,673)

F – Tyreke Evans NO ($15,616)

C – Al Jefferson CHA ($18,881)

U – Isaiah Thomas SAC ($14,093)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
