Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – March 24

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is a 10-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

Giannis Antetokounmpo MIL ($7,544)

The Alphabet, as Antetokounmpo has been called around the fantasy basketball community, continues to be one of the favorite values as far as cheap guards are concerned. At just $7.5K, anything over 15 fantasy points is a good value. In his last eight games, he is averaging 14 fantasy points per contest, but that includes one outlier where he was only able to score 3.5 fantasy points against Portland. The young Greek native has been playing over 25 minutes per game of late, and since the Bucks take on the Clippers tonight, he should see the bulk of the minutes the entire game. As we all know, the Clippers play among the fastest-paced games in the NBA, and that plays right into Antetokounmpo’s strengths. Expect him to approach 20 fantasy points tonight, which would be right in line with great fantasy value.

Forward

Danny Granger LAC ($6,498)

Since the former Lobos star has ended up in Los Angeles, he has had a bigger role than most have expected. Since March 6, Granger has only scored in single digits three times, and has reached great value (three times salary) three times. At just under $6.5K, great value can be attained with 19 fantasy points tonight, and since the Clippers should blow out the Milwaukee Bucks, Granger could see extra minutes off the bench. Since Granger is averaging just under 20 minutes in his last game, expect to see him play more than 20 tonight, leading to every opportunity for him to reach great value at such a low price. Keep in mind that adding a player at his salary allows to spend more at other positions.

Center

Joakim Noah CHI ($18,280)

Noah’s price has dropped a small amount across the daily fantasy industry tonight, likely due to the Bulls’ matchup with the Indiana Pacers. But, this is a blessing in disguise for Noah owners. As he has proven in the last month or so, there is no matchup where Noah cannot succeed. In his last eight games, he is averaging 15.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and seven assists, not to mention a handful of blocks and steals. In these eight games, Noah is averaging 41.5 fantasy points per game. At the center position, there isn’t a more consistent option, and that is a big safety valve for fantasy owners. Risking money on a center is one of the flaws in daily fantasy basketball strategy, but with Noah there is little risk of an off game, considering the season he has had. Despite a “bad” matchup tonight, get Noah into your lineups.

Optimized Lineup

G – Randy Foye DEN ($9,118)

G – Jamal Crawford LAC ($10,120)

G – Giannis Antetokounmpo MIL ($7,544)

F – Kevin Durant OKC ($24,289)

F – Caron Butler OKC ($7,948)

F – Danny Granger LAC ($6,498)

C – Joakim Noah CHI ($18,280)

U – Jeff Teague ATL ($15,443)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
