There are nine teams reportedly in the mix to land recently released Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson. One team, though, seemingly has an edge above the others.

According to reports, the Washington Redskins are the favorites to land Jackson. A fellow NFC East squad, the Redskins are set to host the wide receiver on Monday, the only team that reportedly has a visit scheduled. In an interview on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Sunday morning, John Clayton called Washington the frontrunner.

The Kansas City Chiefs were among the first four teams to reach out to Jackson’s camp after he was released by Philadelphia, and the fit made since given Jackson’s former head coach Andy Reid is now at the helm. But per NFL.com, the Chiefs did their research on Jackson, but that is as far as the interest got.

Two teams that remain in the mix for Jackson are the Oakland Raiders and the Buffalo Bills.

The Raiders are still doing their research on the wide receiver, and the team is considered Jackson’s “hometown team,” as Jackson went college at Cal. According to NFL.com, the Raiders and Jackson share a mutual interest, and the receiver has “put word out” that he has interest in heading to the Black Hole.

Buffalo should not be counted out just yet either, according to reports. The Buffalo News reported the Bills remain interested in Jackson, but the team is not willing to break the bank to acquire him. The team has remained in contact with Jackson, and should be considered “a serious suitor,” per NFL.com.
