On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is a 10-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

Lou Williams ATL ($7,783)

In the last four games, Williams is averaging over 30 minutes per game, and has only played less than 30 one time. In these four games, he is averaging 18 fantasy points per contest, which is good for about two and a half times tonight’s salary, a great value for a cheap guard. Williams takes on the Sixers (his former team) tonight and will look to find that scoring touch he is capable of. The Sixers are allowing a league-worst 110 points per game and allow opponents to shoot just a tad under 47 percent from the field. With Williams set to take at least 10 shots, five can be expect to go in, giving him 10 points as a floor. Not to mention the surprising amount of rebounds and assists that Williams has been able to contribute this week (11 rebounds and eight assists in his last three games). Williams is a viable option at less than $8K each night, but with a great matchup against Philadelphia and his tag being $7.8K, he could be one of the best options at guard tonight.

Forward

Greg Monroe DET ($14,312)

It seems a bit farfetched to play someone based on one number, but considering what the number is, Monroe is a great play for tonight. At $14K, great value is anything north of 34 fantasy points. Monroe could easily reach that tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks are 29th in the NBA in defensive rebound percentage at a measly 71.3 percent. This means that every time a Piston misses a shot, an offensive rebound could be had 28.7 percent of the time. Considering the Pistons are fourth in the NBA in terms of shots per game (just under 87 per) this means that 20-25 offensive rebounds could be had for the Pistons front court tonight. If Monroe can get four or five offensive rebounds, and put back three of them that is an extra six points on his total and an extra three rebounds. Considering he is averaging 16 points and eight rebounds in his last seven games, adding three buckets and four offensive rebounds would bring him to 22 points and 12 boards. Not bad for a player with a price tag of $14.3K.

Center

Pero Antic ATL ($8,934)

Antic is one of the cheapest starting centers for tonight, in a deep slate. But, he may have the best opportunity to reach value. Tonight, the Hawks take on the Philadelphia 76ers in the highest over/under game that the NBA offers tonight (208). As some of you know, Vegas is very good at O/Us and it should be used accordingly when selecting a lineup. At just under $9K, great value for Antic would be 27 fantasy points. In his last game, he accrued just that, 27 fantasy points in 26 minutes against the Wizards. Expect Antic to play more than 26 minutes tonight, and against a team as bad as the Sixers in terms of defense and rebounding, 27 fantasy points is well within reach.

Optimized Lineup

G – Chris Paul LAC ($20,983)

G – Lou Williams ATL ($7,783)

G – J.J. Barea MIN ($6,437)

F – Greg Monroe DET ($14,312)

F – Paul George IND ($15,093)

F – Jeff Green BOS ($9,504)

C – Pero Antic ATL ($8,934)

U – Paul Millsap ATL ($16,075)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
