Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – April 2

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is a 13-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Forward

Reggie Evans SAC ($7,113)

Yes, you read that right. There is a forward listed here rather than a guard. In a deep slate, there are a lot of guards to choose from, but today there are a few players that must be in your lineups. First is the cheap option at forward. Reggie Evans has been one of the better rebounders as far as efficiency in the NBA. Recently, he has had his chance to produce with 30 rebounds in his last two games. Tonight, the Kings take on the Lakers, who are the worst team in the NBA as far as rebounding is concerned. With Evans averaging just under 16 fantasy points per game in the last two weeks, get him in tonight against a bad Lakers team.

Center

DeMarcus Cousins SAC ($21,008)

Boogie’s price tag is high at $21K, which means excellent value is anything north of 55 points. But, remember who the Kings are playing tonight. The Los Angeles Lakers cannot stop an average NBA center, let alone one of the best big men the Association has to offer. Cousins is coming off a massive 56 fantasy point day against the Pelicans and with him averaging 22 points and 11 rebounds in his last seven games, expect another incredible output tonight against the Lakers.

Center

Al Jefferson CHA ($18,584)

It is not common to see two centers in a value column, but tonight the two most expensive centers should find a way onto your roster. With a deep slate, there are many cheap players to choose from to allocate money for Jefferson and Cousins. Al Jefferson has been one of the safest plays in daily fantasy this year, as he has shown in the month of March with just two games of less than 30 fantasy points. Tonight, Jefferson and the Bobcats take on the Philadephia 76ers. As we all know, the Sixers have been putrid in the last two months and still remain as one of the worst teams in the NBA. But, why is Jefferson such a good play tonight? First of all, the Sixers allow the most points per game in the NBA as just under 110 per game. Second, they are one of the worst teams as far as rebounding is concerned at a measly 47.8 percent of missed shots ending up in a Sixers uniform. Finally, this: 28-17, 20-10, 17-13, 20-8. Those are not lottery numbers, but the numbers that the Sixers have allowed in their last four games against the opposing team’s centers. Lock Jefferson in for at least 20-10, but a 30-15 game is not out of reach.

Optimized Lineup

G – Gary Neal CHA ($5,805)

G – Chris Paul LAC ($20,849)

G – Goran Dragic PHO ($15,098)

F – James Jones MIA ($4,668)

F – Jarvis Varnado PHI ($6,430)

F – Reggie Evans SAC ($7,113)

C – DeMarcus Cousins SAC ($21,008)

U – Al Jefferson CHA ($18,584)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
