Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – April 6

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is a nine-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

Danny Green SA ($7,763)

The former North Carolina Tarheel has scored in the double-digits in his last five games, making his floor high for a low price of $7.7K. In addition, great value for Green would be 20 fantasy points, and good value can be attained with anything over 16 fantasy points. In his last five games, Green is averaging 18 fantasy points per game and he has reached excellent value in six of his last 12 games. Tonight the Spurs take on the Memphis Grizzlies who are a very good defensive team, but have allowed over 100 points in three of their last five games. Danny Green is a shooter, specifically a three-point specialist and when he gets hot he can score in the 20’s with ease. The Grizzlies are a good team on the defensive side of the floor, but their numbers against three pointers are in the middle of the pack. The best way to attack the Grizzlies defense is to shoot the three, as they allow more than 35 percent of the opponents threes to go in. If Green can get hot from the outside, great value can be expected tonight.

Forward

Gerald Green PHO ($10,464)

Gerald (not Danny) is averaging 17 points per game in his last seven contests and has been on fire from downtown of late, making at least two three-pointers in his last five games. Green is coming off one of the best games of his career on Friday night, scoring 32 points and a whopping 37.75 fantasy points against the Trailblazers. Tonight the Suns take on the Oklahoma City Thunder in what promises to be a high-scoring affair. The Thunder are 28th in the NBA in terms of allowing opponent three-point field goals with 8.6 treys per game. Expect the Suns to get Green going early and often and attack the perimeter defense of the Thunder and work his way to meeting value of at least 25 fantasy points.

Center

DeAndre Jordan LAC ($16,715)

Jordan has been one of the safer options in daily fantasy basketball this season, and for good reason. He has only had single-digit rebounds six times during the entire season and is leading the NBA with just under 14 rebounds per game. The only downside to Jordan’s game is his lack of points, but even that has risen in the last week or so. Jordan is averaging 12 points per game in his last eight, and is coming off a 21 points performance against the Dallas Mavericks. Tonight Jordan and the Clippers take on their rivals in the Los Angeles Lakers, but it will likely be a blowout in the Clippers favor. Regardless of the score, Jordan is as close to a sure thing to get a double-double against a porous Laker team as anyone has been all season. The Lakers are rebounding at an embarrassing rate of 45.8 percent and if Jordan can play over 30 minutes, 15 rebounds can almost be expected. At just under $17K tonight, 40 fantasy points would be great value and that can be a realistic expectation for the NBA’s leading rebounder.

Optimized Lineup

G – Danny Green SA ($7,763)

G – J.J. Redick LAC ($9,375)

G – Reggie Jackson OKC ($12,670)

F – Tyreke Evans NO ($14,477)

F – Dirk Nowitzki DAL ($17,151)

F – Gerald Green PHO ($10,464)

C – DeAndre Jordan LAC ($16,715)

U – Ray McCallum SAC ($11,330)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
