On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is an eight-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible. There is only a few days left in the regular season, so get your bankroll as high as you can before the playoffs!

Value Plays

Guard

J.J. Redick LAC ($8,220)

Redick is back from injury just in time for the Clippers’ run to the playoffs. He will play the last few games to prepare for the grueling NBA playoff schedule, meaning he will need to play regular minutes to get back into game shape. At just $8.2K, great value for the former Duke sharpshooter will be 24 fantasy points. With a weak slate, Redick could reach 16 to 18 fantasy points and be a safe option for fantasy players. In his three games since his returned from injury, Redick has played 24, 24, and 27 minutes and has scored 44 fantasy points in the three games for an average of just under 14 fantasy points per game. Tonight, the Clippers take on the Kings who are among the worst teams in the NBA. Redick will attempt to exploit the Kings’ poor perimeter defense (29th in the NBA in defending the three-pointer) on his way back to game shape.

Forward

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist CHA ($6,441)

MKG will be a key role player for the Bobcats if they want to make a run in the playoffs, and for good reason. Kidd-Gilchrist plays between 20-25 minutes per game and has averaged 14.57 fantasy points in his last seven games. Tonight the Bobcats take on the Sixers, so MKG should have plenty of opportunities to score, rebound, assist, and even steal or block the basketball. The Sixers rank amongst the bottom in nearly every statistical category on defense and MKG can do a little bit of everything. At $6.4K, great value is anything north of 17 fantasy points for the former Kentucky star. He has reached that value in four of his last seven games.

Center

Al Jefferson CHA ($18,888)

Jefferson may be the highest volume play tonight, and for good reason. He has been terrific all season averaging 22 points and 11 rebounds per game, but has also contributed a block and steal per game on the defensive end of the floor and two assists per game on offense. Jefferson has been the star the Bobcats have longed for and will be in line for another big game tonight. The Bobcats take on the Sixers who allow over 110 points per game and rebound at an alarming 47.6 percent. With Jefferson likely to eclipse his average in scoring and rebounding, his value is almost a given. 22 points and 11 rebounds would bring him to around 35 fantasy points alone, the Sixers will easily add at least four points to his average, as they allow the fifth-most shots in the NBA and allow opponents to shoot 47 percent. Also, the Sixers will give Jefferson more opportunities for rebounds as well due to the fact that they play at a much faster pace (87.4 shots per game) but do not make many as they shoot 43 percent as a team. High volume shots and a low percentage leads to a plethora of rebounds, giving Jefferson the edge as the top center for today’s slate. Get him into your lineups.
