Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – May 7

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

Welcome to NBA Daily Fantasy in the playoffs. The way it works is a two-day slate, giving each player in the postseason an opportunity to play one game. For example, if the Spurs play on day X, and the Heat on day Y, both days are included in one salary game. So it is a four-game slate. Set your lineups as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

Ray Allen MIA ($4,725)

At under $5K, Allen becomes an instant bargain for all daily fantasy players for tonight’s contests. His price will surely rise after tonight’s games because the sharp-shooting guard had 24.5 fantasy points last night against the Brooklyn Nets. At his price, 24.5 fantasy points is around five times his salary which is incredible value. Now, 25 fantasy points is not to be expected, but considering he did it in game one, and the Nets did not have an answer for him, he could easily score 15 fantasy points which would bring him great value. Add Allen before his price hike.

Forward

Luis Scola IND ($6,935)

Scola was our value yesterday, and since he plays tonight and his price only rose by around $40, he is still the best option at forward. Here is yesterday’s excerpt:

“It sounds odd, doesn’t it? But yes, Luis Scola is an advised play for tonight’s DraftStreet contests. In his last game, he played 27 minutes and racked up 19.25 fantasy points. It seems that Roy Hibbert may finally be riding the pine, so Scola could be a great value at $6.9K. Anything over 18 fantasy points would be good value for the 34-year-old, and he has reached that three times so far in this postseason. Keep an eye on the Pacers’ lineup, but do not expect Hibbert to take a lot of minutes away from Scola anymore.”

Center

Marcin Gortat WAS ($13,800)

Like Scola, Gortat was our value at center yesterday, and since his price only rose by around $200, he is still the best value at center on DraftStreet tonight. It’s surprising that his price did not go up even more. Here is yesterday’s excerpt:

“In the first series, Gortat was able to produce despite the stout defense from Joakim Noah and the Bulls front court. This series, Gortat should be far more productive with the struggles of Roy Hibbert and no real presence under the hoop. So far this postseason, Gortat is averaging over a double-double and has scored 24 or more fantasy points in all but one game. His value would be 29 or more fantasy points, which he reached in game one of this series. Gortat has the ability to score 15 points and grab 12 rebounds every night against the Pacers, so get him into your lineups.”

Optimized Lineup

G – Jamal Crawford LAC ($10,062)

G – Bradley Beal WAS ($14,069)

G – Ray Allen MIA ($4,725)

F – Kawhi Leonard SA ($12,589)

F – Paul George IND ($18,637)

F – Luis Scola IND ($6,935)

C – Marcin Gortat WAS ($13,800)

U – Chris Paul LAC ($18,754)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
