With Mother’s Day tomorrow, you need to do something special for your mom. And it would be nice to have a little extra money to do it. So win a Draftstreet daily fantasy baseball league and treat your mom. So let us help you get there. Take a look at these pitchers as you set your lineup today.

Best Bet

Collin McHugh – $12,872

The sample size isn’t huge, but it is big enough, and with good enough results that you should give McHugh a look tonight. In three starts, the 26-year-old is 2-1 with a 2.79 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and 23 strikeouts in 19.1 innings. In his second start of the year, he came within an out of a complete game. In that one, he shut down the MLB’s fifth-best offense in the A’s, limiting them to one run on two hits. He did give up five runs in four innings to the Mariners in his last start, but that was also less than two weeks after shutting them out through 6.2 innings. As he starts against the Orioles for the first time, feel confident in using him.

Double Down

Martin Perez – $13,002

Not long ago, Perez was untouchable. He had three consecutive starts — one eight innings and two complete games –in which he shutout his opponent. That was good for 26 innings without allowing a run. In his two starts since then, though, things have not been so good. He gave up a run in the first inning of his start on April 29 to end the streak, and proceeded to allow eight runs in 4.2 innings. Then, on Tuesday, he gave up five runs in five innings in a loss to the Rockies. Those last two starts were both against top-five offenses, and now he gets to face a team that is struggling. The Red Sox were one out away from being no-hit by Yu Darvish last night and were overmatched all night. If they did indeed leave their bats in Boston, it could be a good night for Perez.

Roll the Dice

Chris Young – $9,815

In five starts this season, Young has three that were quality starts, and he was just one out away from picking up a fourth. Through 29.2 innings pitched, he s 2-0 with a 3.03 ERA. Hitters are batting just .200 against him. These numbers are quite a bit better than his career averages, so one is left to wonder how long he’ll be able to keep this up. But as long as he is going well, you might as well benefit, too. And a matchup against Kansas City gives him a great chance to keep things going. Only the Astros have had a lower scoring offense in the American League this season.
