Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – May 10

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

Welcome to NBA Daily Fantasy in the playoffs. The way it works is a two-day slate, giving each player in the postseason an opportunity to play one game. For example, if the Spurs play on day X, and the Heat on day Y, both days are included in one salary game. So it is a four-game slate. Set your lineups as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

Alan Anderson BKN ($5,137)

Anderson was our value at guard yesterday, and despite a price hike, he was still going to be a good value for tonight. Anderson’s price rose by $7. Here is yesterday’s excerpt:

“Anderson is one of the cheapest guards on DraftStreet for tonight’s contests, and is actually a safe play. At $5.1K, good value is anything over 12 fantasy points, with great value being at 15. In Anderson’s last seven games, he is averaging 11.71 fantasy points per contest and has reached good value or better in four of his last six contests. In the playoffs, it is hard to find cheap players who get minutes, but Anderson is one of them as he is averaging around 23 minutes per game in his last four.”

Forward

Mirza Teletovic BKN ($5,493)

In Teletovic’s last game, he was able to score 18 fantasy points. At $5.5K, that is enough for great value. Now, he has not been a consistent 15-20 fantasy point scorer, but at his price, it is worth the risk. Teletovic made six three-pointers against the Heat, and his price rose. Still, he is a good punt option at forward for your daily fantasy teams tonight. Expect him to get more minutes because of his length and athleticism, which leads to more opportunities for fantasy points.

Center

Steven Adams, OKC ($4,179)

Adams has quietly been good for the Thunder so far this postseason. Since becoming a part of the rotation, he has averaged 20 minutes per contest. In these 20 minutes he is averaging four points and over four rebounds per game. That does not sound like much, but for a player that only costs $4.1K, that is a bargain. He is averaging around 12 fantasy points per game in the last five contests, which gives him a value of three times his salary, should he reach his average. Get Adams into your lineups, and reap the benefits of cap flexibility.

Optimized Lineup

G – Russell Westbrook OKC ($20,965)

G – Manu Ginobili SA ($11,309)

G – Alan Anderson BKN ($5,137)

F – Blake Griffin LAC ($19,364)

F – LeBron James MIA ($21,969)

F – Mirza Teletovic BKN ($5,493)

C – Steven Adams, OKC ($4,179)

U – Tiago Splitter SA ($10,777)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
