Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – May 18

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

Welcome to NBA Daily Fantasy in the playoffs. The way it works is a two-day slate, giving each player in the postseason an opportunity to play one game. For example, if the Spurs play on day X, and the Heat on day Y, both days are included in one salary game. So it is a TWO-game slate. Set your lineups as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

Patty Mills SA ($5,035)

Mills is coming off his best game of the postseason so far, scoring 18 points en route to a very productive night with 28.25 fantasy points. He took 17 shots, which was also the most he has in the postseason, and he was able to play 26 minutes. There is an outside chance that Tony Parker does not play, if that happens then Mills becomes a must-play. Even if Parker is able to go, Mills is still a good option at just $5K. Great value would be anything more than 15 fantasy points, and Mills can reach that if he gets hot against the Thunder.

Guard

Ray Allen MIA ($8,250)

Rather than trying to find a value at forward with such a short slate and a lack of value, another value at guard can help you win your contests. Allen can do that for your fantasy team at $8.25K. At that price, great value is around 20 fantasy points, which Allen has averaged in his last five games. He has two games with 24 or more fantasy points, and two games with around 18 fantasy points. If you can get that production out of him for $8.25K, that is a great value for a guard on an incredibly small slate of games.

Center

Steven Adams OKC ($5,958)

With just four teams playing, there are only four centers to choose from who will get respectable minutes. Chris Bosh, Roy Hibbert, Tiago Splitter and, of course, Adams from Oklahoma City. Why Adams? His price is nearly half of the other three centers, and his production is more valuable. At just under $6K, great value can be had at anything above 18 fantasy points, which Adams has reached in two straight games, and three of his last four contests. With a cheap center who can get good value, it allows you more flexibility to add top-tier players to your lineup. There is not a better value in a two-game slate tonight, so be sure to add Adams to your lineups.

Optimized Lineup

G – Dwyane Wade MIA ($13,813)

G – Ray Allen MIA ($8,250)

G – Patty Mills SA ($5,035)

F – Kevin Durant OKC ($23,615)

F – LeBron James MIA ($22,442)

F – Kawhi Leonard SA ($13,838)

C – Steven Adams OKC ($5,958)

U – Danny Green SA ($6,698)

Good luck tonight, and be sure to check the starting lineups before tip to be aware of any changes.
