Daily Fantasy Hockey: DFS DraftKings Values – October 25

Pavel Datsyuk

Three teams on the second night of a back to back today, with New Jersey, Tampa Bay, and Dallas all having played last night. The biggest favourite of the day is San Jose, but their game is not on the DraftKings slate today.

From what I see, there are a lot of good, cheap options on the wing tonight, so it might not be a bad night to spend at centre and in net for cash games. Of course, there is more than one way to construct a lineup, so DFSers should spend where they’re comfortable to spend.

Play Daily Fantasy Hockey on DraftKings Tonight!

As always, check Left Wing Lock for goalie confirmations.

Players will be in order of perceived value, by position, and there should be enough to mix-and-match for each type of game available on Draft Kings. Some positions might only have a few plays, some might have several. It all depends on the day, the matchups, and the price.

Remember: players are in order of value, not necessarily in cost. Just because Sidney Crosby is $8000 one day doesn’t mean he’s a better value than Andrew Shaw at $4000.

  • I am a big fan of all things Detroit tonight. The nice thing about that is most of their useful players are at reasonable prices.
  • I’m not overly high on Washington players tonight, but will be looking at one or two of them to get some exposure. Calgary is over-performing right now.
  • The New York Islanders have a tantalizing matchup tonight. Not so much that Dallas is a slouch team, but their probable starter Anders Lindback is terrible.
  • Nashville doesn’t have a particularly good matchup, but James Neal has a nice floor, which makes me tempted to use him tonight.
  • Those not wanting to spend on Kuemper – and go against Tampa Bay – there are a couple of goalies with good matchups who are cheap.

  • Detroit and the Islanders have nice GPP matchups tonight. I’ll be hard-pressed not to lean on them in a lot of GPPs.
  • Washington could be in for a big night in Calgary. I relying on teams on the road, but this looks to be a high-ceiling matchup.
  • Ottawa isn’t getting a particularly great matchup against the Devils, but New Jersey is likely starting Scott Clemmensen, which in turn makes it a solid matchup.

Slim’s Pickins (bargain plays)

Riley Sheahan (DET-C, $2900) – Centering the second line with Pavel Datsyuk.

Tomas Jurco (DET-W, $2800) – On the wing with Sheahan and Datsyuk, but more importantly has been moved up to the top power play unit.

Cody Ceci (OTT-D, $3000) – Ceci has been put in charge of the second PP unit for Ottawa, the lone defenseman.

Good luck!
