Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftKings Value Plays and Lineup – November 19

Khris Middleton

Daily Fantasy Basketball is back, which means each day XN Sports will have a column detailing advised plays and lineups for the remainder of the NBA season. For those familiar with DraftKings, their daily fantasy basketball is formatted differently this season. There is no multi-position eligibility, which makes it a bit harder to set your lineup.

For those unfamiliar with DraftKings, you are given $50,000 in cap space to select a point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, center, a guard, a forward, and a utility player. There are no points deducted for missed shots, which changes the strategy from other sites. To read the full scoring, click here. Keep in mind that a double-double awards a bonus, which can be the difference between cashing in and winning nothing.

Generally, the goal for value is at five times a player’s salary. That brings a lineup to 250 fantasy points, which will cash on most days.

Give DraftKings a shot, as there will be a few freeroll opportunities each night in Daily Fantasy Basketball. Click here to play.

Without further ado, the value plays and lineups for November 19th:

Value Plays

Guard

Rodney Stuckey, Shooting Guard, Indiana Pacers $3,300

Stuckey is probable to return to the Pacers’ lineup tonight, and with a price of $3,300 he becomes a value play at guard. Value can be attained with a performance of over 16.5 fantasy points, which Stuckey could easily obtain with the minutes he is likely to play. Last season with the Pistons, he averaged 14 points per game, and in one “full” game this season for the Pacers, Stuckey had 16 points, three rebounds, and five assists. The Pacers face the Bobcats tonight, who will be without Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Gary Neal, and possibly P.J. Hairston, giving Stuckey an excellent matchup with either Kemba Walker on defense, as Stuckey is the primary ball-handler when he plays.

Other values at guard: Gerald Green, PHO $4,100 and Jameer Nelson, DAL $4,100 (Devin Harris OUT)

Forward

Khris Middleton, Small Forward, Milwaukee Bucks $3,200

Keep an eye on the Bucks’ lineup for tonight, but with Middleton starting at two guard last night and playing well, he is likely to see the same minutes again tonight. He has reached value in three of his last four games, and at $3,200 value can be reached at 16 fantasy points. Middleton has had less than 18.5 fantasy points just one time this season, and if he starts he is a good bet for six times salary.

Other values at forward: Robert Covington, PHI $3,000 and K.J. McDaniels, PHI $3,700

Center

Alex Len, Phoenix Suns, $3,100

While spending at center is advised, it is hard to ignore Len’s production over the last few games and his price being just over the minimum. In the last two contests, Len has averaged 18 points, nine rebounds, and a steal per night, accruing 56 fantasy points in the process. He seems to have finally taken over the center job for the Suns, which makes him a value play at $3,100. The Suns will face the Pistons tonight, who have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing centers this season. If you are going to use a cheap center, Len is the play.
