Last week, the NFL’s hand of the law, Roger Goodell, suspended former league MVP Adrian Peterson for the remainder of the 2014 season. An appeal was filed and subsequently declined, meaning Week 1 was the last we saw Peterson for this year and perhaps ever again in a Vikings uniform.

After Goodell made his ruling, Peterson told USA TODAY Sports it may be best for him to get a fresh start “somewhere else” come 2015. Peterson, who will turn 30 in March, is due more than $15 million next season, leaving Minnesota to decide whether or not they want to pay the future Hall of Fame running back, attempt to trade him to another team or simply cut ties and allow Peterson to become a free agent.
