After months of speculation and vast amount of rumors, Arturo Vidal came out of hiding and told the media that transferring to Manchester Untied is not a possibility.

In an interview with Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport, Vidal reiterated that his future remains undisclosed. As this doesn’t come as big news, the following line from the Chilean international did.

“I do not go to Manchester,” he said.

A huge blow for Manchester United, who view this man as quite possibly the best central midfielder in the world at the moment.

He continued, “Can I say I will remain with Juve? I don’t know. I’ll talk to Allegri on Monday and then we will see. I haven’t spoken with Allegri or any of my team-mates yet, but I’m not going to Manchester.”Massimiliano Allegri is the new coach of Juventus following Antonio Conte’s resignation from the club. Vidal is still on vacation since the World Cup but will be back on the pitch soon with the season drawing near.

This news is very uplifting for Liverpool, who have also been linked to signing the Chilean from Juventus.

If Liverpool were to able to grab up Arturo Vidal, that would be a huge blow for their rivals in the red side of Manchester, and the team would certainly be ridiculed for letting their number one target slip away to their rivals.

Brendan Rodgers is not afraid to pull the trigger on a move for Vidal. After cashing in on Luis Suarez’s transfer to Barcelona, the bid for Vidal is imminent.

Manchester United have a huge responsibility to fill gaps in their starting XI. A couple of new faces in central defense and depth in the attack are needed. A true holding midfielder, like Vidal, is also needed.

While Vidal does seem like the best option out there on the market, it is not the only option. The Red Devils have also been linked to Marco Verratti from PSG.

The Italian national is an excellent midfielder in the center of the pitch, but was dropped when Yohan Cabaye was brought in in January.
