Week 9 is the second of two six-week bye weeks and has caused fantasy owners to scramble to replace the likes of Peyton Manning, Colin Kaepernick, Matthew Stafford, and Eli Manning in their lineups. Luckily, there are plenty of quarterback options with favorable matchups this week to ease your pain.
Robert Griffin, Alex Smith, Tony Romo, Philip Rivers, Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, Terrelle Pryor, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rodgers are all must-starts this week in their favorable matchups. Whoever starts for Minnesota could be a sneaky daily or 2QB league option, as could Josh McCown against a banged up Packers defense. The Ravens were tough against the likes of Brandon Weeden, Matt Schaub, and EJ Manuel but have allowed big efforts to Peyton Manning, Ryan Tannehill, Aaron Rodgers, and Ben Roethlishberger so Jason Campbell could be a sneaky play after an impressive showing against the tough Chiefs defense.
On the flip side, stay away from Mike Glennon, Geno Smith, Thad Lewis, Case Keenum, and whoever starts for the Rams.
Matt Ryan, Tom Brady, Andrew Luck, and Andy Dalton are all still startable in their matchups and Joe Flacco isn’t a terrible play against a Browns defense that has allowed 21+ points to opposing quarterbacks in three straight weeks.
