XN Sports will rank every NFL offense and defense leading up the regular season. We continue the series with the defenses in the NFC.

From the teams that’ll be tough to score points against week in and week out, to the ones that’ll allow opposing quarterbacks to post career-highs, here are the defense rankings for the NFC.

1. Seattle Seahawks

The NFL’s top defense a year ago, Seattle locked up its top corner, top safety and top defensive lineman over the offseason to solidify its core group of stars. The unit lost key contributors in defensive lineman Red Bryant and defensive backs Walter Thurmond and Brandon Brown, but this is where the organization’s strong drafting comes into play. The big questions are the health of Kam Chancellor and Bruce Irvin.
